Charles and Linda Barenfanger of Vandalia recently donated $5,000 to Friends and Families of Sarah Bush Lincoln Fayette County Hospital.  Thanks to their generosity, a recognition plaque will be engraved with their name and placed in the new Medical Center now under construction near the hospital.

The two-story, 42,000 square-foot building will be complete later this summer. The first floor of the $15 million building will house primary care, physical and occupational therapy, occupational medicine and Express Care – three services currently offered in other leased Vandalia facilities. Primary care providers relocating to the new facility include Richard Funneman, MD; Jeff Jenson, MD, Bruce Braswell, PA-C; and Deidre Langston, FNP. It will feature 24 exam rooms, X-ray and phlebotomy services. The second floor of the building includes space for specialty clinics and business offices.

“Charles and Linda have been long-time supporters of Sarah Bush Lincoln Fayette County Hospital,” said Karen Dyer, SBLFCH CEO and Friends & Families board member.  “Prior to Sarah Bush Lincoln acquiring Fayette County Hospital, Charles served on the FCH District Board and enthusiastically supported our partnership.  We’re so grateful that the Barenfangers are so committed to continuing and growing quality healthcare for Vandalia and Fayette County residents. We appreciate them so much.”
